CLIMBING CAMPS

Ages 7-13

We like keeping kids busy when they are out of school! RCF’s Climbing Camp programs are week-long indoor rock climbing camps designed for climbers of all abilities.

Whether your climbers are new to the sport or they are ready to start taking their climbing to the next level, this camp provides a fun and age-appropriate environment to build the fundamentals of indoor rock climbing.

Camp activities include indoor rock climbing, knot tying and a variety of exciting climbing games.

Note: During this program, children under the age of 13 may be taught to belay for each other under the instructor’s discretion and guidance.

WHAT HAPPENS IN CLIMBING CAMP?

We’re glad you asked! A typical week may include any combination of the following activities:

SKILLS/DISCIPLINES
OF CLIMBING

  • Learn to Rock Climb

  • Basic boulder skills

  • Auto belays and top ropes

  • Learn to tie the figure-8 knot

  • Learn to belay (ages 13+)

  • Introduction to climbing holds and finger positions

  • Footwork drills

  • Tips on endurance and recovery

  • Power training

  • Drills will be tailored to ages and ability levels

GAMES

  • The floor is lava

  • Red Light Green Light

  • Shark attack

  • Tag

  • Capture the flag while climbing

  • Speed races

  • Limbo

CANCELLATION & SCHEDULE CHANGES

Deposit required to confirm reservation. 7 days notice required for cancellation and refunds. Minimum 24 hours notice required for rescheduling (if available) with full credit of your deposit.

RCF will provide full refund for all program cancellations due to the coronavirus pandemic.
